Chalk Block

Presented by Lee Health and Golisano Children’s Hospital

Enjoy watching 40 teams from Lee County High Schools and professional chalk street painting artists create beautiful drawings — not on canvas but on the pavement.

For most students this is their first time painting with chalk on the ground. You’ll be amazed at their talent.

The 2017 theme for student and professional artists is Exploring a Bright New World and artwork must be style of any art movement. Will you create atmosphere and landscape on Mars a la Vincent van Gogh’s “Starry Night” or develop a Picasso style cubist “Marco Polo on the Silk Road” portrait?
